Volunteer Categories

The Kettering-Largo-Mitchellville Boys and Girls Club is essentially run by all volunteers living throughout the surrounding community. Volunteers are always being sought. The following is just a small listing of what you can do to support your community and the KLMBGC.

Volunteer Coaches

We are always in need of volunteer coaches.  All coaches must be ASEP certified.  To receive certification, one must complete the American Sports Education Program (ASEP) course online with a passing score and successfully pass a background check.  For further information on taking the ASEP course  please click the link here.  Also, you can contact the sports commissioner of your choice to find out how you can become a coach.

Volunteer Fundraisers

Fundraising is critical part of the KLMBGC program.  It helps us keep our registration cost down.  With that in mind we are always open to hear new ideas that will further support our cause.  If you would like to discuss a fundraising event to support our club, please drop us an email -  resourcedev@klmbgc.com.

Volunteer Sports Commissioners

Are you interested in shaping our sports programs? Volunteer to be a sports commissioner, or to support our current sports commissioners. Attend our Board of Directors meeting held the second Wednesday of each month at the Kettering Community  Association (KCA) Center at 8:00pm.
